"The Restless Stranger" is the first album by indie rock band American Music Club, released in 1985 on the Grifter Records label. The album was re-issued in 1998 through Warner Bros Records, and featured three bonus tracks.
The Restless Stranger, is widely considered as the first slowcore release, establishing the band as major pioneers of slowcore and an early influence on post-rock.
