Album Description
Available in:
Jamie xx has had a remarkably diverse career, sounding equally at home with his band the xx, collaborating with Gil Scott-Heron, and crafting dance tracks on his own. He brings all of these facets together on his long-awaited debut album In Colour, which features contributions by Four Tet, Young Thug, and Popcaan, as well as his xx bandmates Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim. The previously released singles "Girl" and "Sleep Sound" take the smooth spaciousness of his band and We're New Here in a propulsive, club-oriented direction that never feels too obvious, while "Loud Places," which features Madley Croft, shows that his blend of dance, indie, and R&B is growing more confident and distinctive all the time.
