Now 61 features seven songs which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart: "You're Beautiful", "Ghetto Gospel", "Lyla", "Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own", "Lonely", "Axel F" and "You've Got a Friend".

It sold 310,236 copies in its first week, the highest opening tally of the three albums in the series released that year
