Dark Sky Paradise is the third studio album by American hip hop recording artist Big Sean. The album was released on February 24, 2015 by GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings in the United States. The album's recording process took place from 2013 to 2014 at various recording studios, primarily in Los Angeles, and 2015, Dark Sky Paradise pushed back. The album features guest appearances by Kanye West, Drake, Ariana Grande, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Jhené Aiko, Lil Wayne, PARTYNEXTDOOR, John Legend, and E-40. The album's production was primarily handled by Kanye West, along with additional production from DJ Mustard, Mike WiLL Made-It, Vinylz, among others.
On September 12, 2014, Big Sean announced he had switched management from KWL to Roc Nation and later that day released four new songs, "I Don't Fuck with You", "Paradise", "4th Quarter" and "Jit/Juke", producers for these songs include Kanye West, Mike Will Made It, DJ Mustard, Da Internz, DJ Dahi, Thadeous Martin, Nate Fox, L&F and Key Wane. In October 2014, Big Sean confirmed an Eminem collaboration would probably not make it to the album, however, he did confirm that there would be Kanye West, Chris Brown, and Ariana Grande features. On January 25, 2015, Big Sean and some of his friends announced the title of the album to be Dark Sky Paradise. Five days later, Big Sean released the track listing and cover artwork for the album, and February, pushed back until 2015, and would be released on February 24.
