"Hollywood Town Hall" is an album by the American alternative country and rock band The Jayhawks, released in 1992 on the American Recordings label. It peaked at #11 on the Billboard Heatseekers and #192 on the Billboard 200. The cover art for the album was shot in Hollywood Township, Carver County, Minnesota.
Hollywood Town Hall considered to be The Jayhawks' breakthrough album is a roots rock classic. "Like folk music, but really loud," is how guitarist Gary Louris liked to describe the Jayhawks.
The album was remastered and reissued in 2011 on the Legacy label, the original album's 10 songs augmented with five bonus tracks, two of them previously unreleased, another two tracks previously commercially unavailable in the U.S. (B-sides from a foreign single release), and one track previously commercially unavailable.
