"Proterra" is the twelfth studio album by the Scottish Celtic rock band Runrig, It was originally released in 2003 on the Ridge Records label..Producer Paul Mounsey was invited to arrange two of the tracks, The Old Boys and An Toll Dubh. These originally came from the 1981 album Recovery.
The album tends to move slightly more towards the rock side of folk/rock, although there are some lovely slower numbers to keep the balance.
This album sees a change to the line up, with the departure of Peter Wishhart , who is replaced on keyboards and vocals by Brian Hurren.
