"The Highland Connection" is the second album by Celtic rock band Runrig. It was originally released in 1979 on the bands own label, Ridge Records.
The songs on the album are in a mixture of Gaelic and English
It is a somewhat transitional album when the band were beginning to develop a harder edge. The album went under the slogan 'Highland Rock is Here'. Here you will find the original version of "Loch Lomond",a later version was to become their signature song and its closing song at concerts.
