Album DescriptionAvailable in:
Fetid, deep fried psychedelia, White Denim's 2011 full length 'D' seemed to mark something of a breakthrough. Expanding to a four piece, it focussed their sprawling, primal take on rock music into something linear, something rather more palatable.
All of which means that 'Corsicana Lemonade' is the band's first album to be produced with an audience at the back of their mind. Unhinged boogie rock with nods towards blues and country, the album features two tracks recorded with Jeff Tweedy.
White Denim toured with Wilco back in 2012, and after one too many late night conversations Tweedy decided to take the reins. Only two songs emerged from those sessions, but - as White Denim frontman James Petralli explains - those were pivotal to the album's development.
