Arguably the best recording Gatton ever made. These studio sessions have the raw energy of a live recording with two heavy-weights working hard to outlast one another. Joey DeFrancesco was the only person other than Dan Doyle (NY Stories-Bluenote) who was able to reign in Danny's penchant for endless retakes. This take of Broadway was actually recorded live during the photo session. It turned out so nice it ended up on the CD.
