Album DescriptionAvailable in:
The Great Twenty-Eight is a greatest hits album by classic rock and roller Chuck Berry, released in 1982. In 2003, the album was ranked number 21 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, the second highest ranking compilation on the list, after Elvis Presley's The Sun Sessions.
The album draws only from Berry's first 11 years with Chess Records, omitting his post-1965 recordings for the label, including his only No. 1 hit, "My Ding-a-Ling".
