User Album Review
Already more than a decade into their existence by the time of this release, legendary Scottish punks the Exploited gave up some of their most intense material on their sixth album, 1990's The Massacre. The release marked a distinct change, from the more dyed-in-the-wool traditional punk rock sound of their earlier work to a crossover sound that incorporated thrashier guitar playing and a more metallic edge overall. The result was one of their most commercially successful albums ever, with brutal and blunt jaunts like "Fuck Religion," "Now I'm Dead," and "Police Shit."
