Album DescriptionAvailable in:
Since it concentrates solely on Bonnie Tyler's Columbia material, Super Hits isn't a definitive collection -- after all, it's missing her terrific first hit "It's a Heartache," since it was recorded for RCA -- but it nevertheless is a fine overview of her career peak in the early '80s, containing all of her charting singles for the label: "Total Eclipse of the Heart," "Take Me Back," "Holding Out for a Hero," "Here She Comes" and "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)." That's essentially a definitive summary of her Columbia years, which will make this of considerable interest to casual fans. It also may be of interest to more dedicated fans since not only is it a good listen, it happens to be the first official compilation of her Columbia material to be released in America.
