"Banba" is an album by Irish folk group Clannad released in 1993 on BMG records. It was re-issued in 2004 with the Afterlife mix bonus track of "I Will Find You".
This is a blend of the new sound and the old and really shows how the band's songwriting has matured. Banba is in fact a romantic mythical name for Ireland, which is a reflection of how their musical journey has completed a full circle. One of the tracks "I will find you" was written for the movie "The Last of the Mohicans", which features Moya actually singing in Mohican and Cherokee.
Banba was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Age Album, but was the runner-up to Spanish Angel by Paul Winter Consort.
The album reached number 5 in the UK Albums Charts.
