Album DescriptionAvailable in:
On this release, Dan Fogelberg was beginning to find a place where he could make his own kind of music while successfully absorbing current influences. Much like Jackson Browne and Don Henley, he was able to bring electronic and rhythmic touches to his sound while maintaining the simplicity of his music and continuing to write songs that explored the themes that had always worked for him. The title cut, "Serengeti Moon," and "A Voice for Peace" were some of the most heartfelt songs Fogelberg had written in years and reflected a renewed commitment to writing about issues that he had always felt strongly about. Exhibiting the right balance between acoustic instrumentation and electronics, the album has a modern sound, yet maintains the organic spirit of Fogelberg's music. It clearly set the stage for a complete rebirth.
