The soul legend has recently received critical acclaim, awards and accolades after a career re-appraisal following her appearance at Barack Obama's inauguration concert in January 2009, singing 'A Change Is Gonna Come'. With interest in her career at an all-time high, these recordings, unavailable for many years, have now been rediscovered and lovingly presented anew. This deluxe rigid-digi set is a complete collection of the material she recorded for the Silver Fox and SSS International labels in Memphis in the late 60s and early 70s which arguably represent the most productive period of her long career . The set includes her collaborations with Hank Ballard plus two bonus tracks from 1978.
