Musically, Haddaway began to branch out more with this nicely varied junior effort. In addition to his trademark brand of techno-spiced pop/club stylings, there's a handful of mid-tempo urban contemporary grooves and ballads here. But along with that more diverse landscape also comes more formula. Haddaway gives his best on "Mr. President" and "I'll Do for You," and the production is solid -- but the melodies offer nothing substantial. And on several occasions, the singer's approach is simply the wrong match for the songs. "Don't Cut the Line" boasts a coolly funky bass groove and keyboard layerings, but the singer's ecstatic, repeated yelps of "What can I do, do, yeah?" sound better suited to an up-tempo house number. Still, the overall package is more pleasing than a drawn-out suite of same-sounding dance ditties. And there are several quite consistent moments to be found in the ingratiating, guitar-spiked "Bring Back My Memories" and the persistent title track -- a seducing dancefloor romp.
