Album Description
Available in:
Undoubtedly FireFlight's Dawn Richardson will be compared to Evanescence's Amy Lee and Lacey Mosley of Flyleaf. (Every alternative female vocalist is.) Some comparisons are legitimate but more often then not, Richardson finds her own voice in style and melody. "Serenity" kicks off the disc with tight production and well-layered vocals. With screams aplenty, the song drives forward with chugging guitars. "You Decide" is a riff aplenty as Day of Fire's Josh Brown joined Richardson with vocal prowess. The disc's softer moments like "It's You "and "Star of the Show " are effective contrasts to the heavier vocal blasts. What's noticeable is that even when the band get's heaviest ie: "Liar" and "Something New" the tunes still are accessible to rock radio with great hooks and well delivered melodies.
