Artist Biography
Available in:
Of French-Canadian origin, Theo Lawrence is influenced by Tommy Johnson, Howlin' Wolf and Bo Diddley. He began his musical career with his band named Theo Lawrence and the Hearts, releasing a double single entitled Heaven to Me in 2016. He launches his label Gentilly Potion with Leila Benbouriche. The band is built around the leader-composer, with Louis-Marin Renaud then Thibault Ripault on guitar, Thibault Rooster on drums, Olivier Viscat on bass and Nevil Bernard on keyboard. In 2016, they released a five-track EP entitled Sticky Icky. In March 2017, the band appeared at the OÜI FM Rock Awards ceremony, becoming BPI (Bureau des Productions Indépendantes) winners in the process. Meanwhile, they embark on a tour lasting until April 22, 2017.

In March 2018, they release their debut album Homemade Lemonade. For L'Express, the album “offers a concentrate of America with its soul-embroidered tracks riveted to country-rock”.
