Deathpact's innovative marketing approach combines music releases with an elaborate ARG (augmented reality game) system called "xOS," which began with cryptic campaigns in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Their dedicated Discord community, known as "Deathcord," plays an integral role in unlocking new content through collaborative problem-solving of complex puzzles, encrypted messages, and physical treasure hunts called "Deathdrops."
The project's discography includes CIPHER ONE EP, CIPHER TWO, and Departure (released on mau5trap), followed by their extended work Split // Personality, which features collaborations with notable artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Claude VonStroke, and Code Orange.
