Floortje Smit (born July 16, 1983) is a Dutch singer and losing finalist of the talent show Idols 3 in 2006 and The Voice of Holland in 2012. She played the role of "Ozzy" in the rock musical We Will Rock You. This musical ran until August 13, 2011.
Smit was born in Amsterdam in 1983 but grew up in Brabantos. In 1999, she participated in thesoundmixshow with "Hero" by Mariah Carey, she won the audience award and finished 4th.
In 2006, she participated in the talent hunt Idols She reached the final but was plagued by a throat infection. After Idols, she got a recording contract with The Entertainment Group and made the singles 'Wake Up', 'Starts with Goodbye', 'Justice' and 'Blindspot' and the album Fearless. With Jerry Given recorded the single 'Town'.
in 2006 Smit spent three evenings in the Amsterdam Arena during Toppers in Concert 2006.
From 2008, Smit was seen every weekend in the Dinnershow Of Dreams conceived by Frank Wentink, a 5-hour show with show ballet, singing, and atmosphere. Smit was on display until June 2010.
In 2012, Smit was in the final of The Voice of Holland. She came third here.
From August 21, 2010, to August 13, 2011, she played the role of the sexy rebellious Ozzy/Meat2010 in the musical We Will Rock You at the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht.
On April 20, 2007, her first CD Fearless was released. The production was fromFluitsma and Van Tijn. The album includes a duet with the Irish singer Ronan Keating The second single from the album was Starts with Goodbye, a cover of a song by the American singer Carrie Underwood This was already available for download on March 5, 2007, and was in stores on March 16, 2007. The third single from the album was 'Justice' and was released with an accompanying video clip on July 20. 'Justice' is a cover of Lemar's 2004 released 'If There's Any Justice'.
On April 21, 2008, her single Blindspot was released. The single did not go higher than number 82 in the single Top 100
In The Voice of Holland was third to Smit. In 2022, Smit is a stewardess and no longer active in music.
