Septicopyemia is a Grindсore band from Ivanovo, Russian Federation. Founded in 1995 under the name “Thromboemboly” the band was influenced by old Carcass, later the name was changed to “Septicopyemia
n the late 90’s band released few demo-tapes – “Necrotic Mutilation/Endless Decay” 1996 “Sick Categories” 1998, “Pathophilism - Clinical Necrognosis” 1998 and few split tapes.
Septicopyemia split-up in 2000 and reunied in 2002 with few new members, and start working with new stuff. The first full CD "Vomiting Swamp" was recorded in November 2004 and was released only in 2006 by Moscow label Sound Age prod.
The next EP "Hungry Asses" saw the light in 2008 as split with Formalin by Sound Age prod., and re-released in 2009 as split CD with Ebanath and Stickoxydal by Ukrainian label Eclectic prod.
2012 starts with recording new stuff and in November new full CD "Supreme Art of Genital Carnage" was released by Bizarre Leprous prod.
Music of the band is a mix of blasting and grooving grindcore with dual low/high vocals and some death metal touches. Lyrics are mostly mix of black humor, pathologies and some porn.
