Yu-Ching Fei, whose real name is Zhang Yanting, was born on July 17, 1955 in Taipei City, Taiwan Province, China. His ancestral home is Tongcheng City, Anqing City, Anhui Province. He is a Taiwanese male singer and host.
In 1973, he participated in the "Star to Star" singing competition held by China Television and won the fourth place, thus starting his singing career. In 1977, he released his first album "My Heart Loves Miao". In 1984, he won the Taiwan Golden Bell Award for Best Male Singer for his song "Dream Camel Bell". In 1986, he was popular for singing the theme song "One Cut Plum" of the same name for the TV series "One Cut Plum". In 1992, he won the Taiwan Golden Tripod Award for Best Male Singer with the song "Lovesickness is Longer than Dreams". In 1993, he co-hosted the Taiwan variety show "Dragon Brother Tiger Brother" with Zhang Fei. In 1995 and 1997, he won the Golden Bell Award for Best Variety Show Host Award. In 1996, he won the Best Singing Album Award at the 7th Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan with the album "Good Night Song". In 2005, he won the Golden Bell Award for Singing Music Program and the Singing Music Host Award for the program "Fei Yuqing's Qing Music".
In 2006, he was invited to sing the song "A Thousand Miles Away" with Jay Chou; in the same year, he won the Most Style Music Contribution Award at the Super Festival. In 2010, he was selected as "30 people in 30 years" in the 30-year classic selection of Chinese Golden Melody Awards hosted by "International Chinese Music Union".
