Artist Biography Available in: Circle of Sig-Tiu was a German punk band formed around 1984/85 in Bingen, Germany. The band emerged in 1984 from the predecessor group Aus-98, which released the self-produced single Alles fällt / Schwarze Raben in 1983. Core members were singer Josef Maria "Jay Kay" Klumb, rhythm guitarist Raymond Plummer and lead guitarist Siggi Grampe, while the bassists and drummers were replaced several times. The group is also famous because its founding members Klumb and Plummer turned away from punk after the end of Circle of Sig-Tiu and raised other, sometimes very successful, but also controversial projects such as Forthcoming Fire, Weissglut, Von Thronstahl or The Days of the Trumpet Call due to a suspected proximity to right-wing extremism.
