In 2013, Arshid founded a second trio, the Arshid Azarine Trio, accompanied by Habib Meftah Bouchehri on vocals and percussion and Hervé de Ratuld on bass. The group's project entitled “7 Djan” (“7 lives” in Persian) is inspired by the initiatory tale The Conference of the Birds written by the great Persian Sufi poet of the 12th century.
