Lucile Boulanger began playing the viola da gamba with Christine Plubeau at the age of five. She continued her studies at the Conservatoire National de Région de Paris in the class of Ariane Maurette where she obtained a 1st prize in 2004 and entered an advanced course with Jérôme Hantaï at the CNR of Cergy, from which she graduated with the highest distinctions in viola and chamber music. Finally, she took lessons with Christophe Coin at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris where she obtained her diploma unanimously in 2009.
During internships and masterclasses, she notably receives advice from Wieland Kuijken, Anne-Marie Lasla and Philippe Pierlot.
