Marc Subtrot (born in Lyon on April 15, 19491) is a French classic conductor. He is the brother of the trumpet player Bernard Subtrot.

Student of the Conservatory of Lyon, he continues his curriculum at the Conservatoire de Paris, especially in trombone and chamber music, direction and analysis. In 1975, he was conductor assistant at the London Symphony Orchestra and then the following year, he succeeds Jean-Claude Casadesus as a deputy conductor of the PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTER Pays de la Loire. He became a musical director in 1978.
