Fang was born as a musical project in 1995 in Banyoles (Girona), the result of the musical union between Mariona Aupí and Jaume Garcia.

After editing a song in a compilation of a local magazine in 1996, they released their first album "My Weak Point" (Satélite K, 1997) with great press coverage. In 1998 they released their second album "My Black Dress" (Satélite K) with which they were awarded to present it at the Vila Rock in Bilbao as the best national pop rock group. They were also recognized as the revelation artist of 1999 at the "Altaveu Frontera" festival.
