UKW (UltraKurzWelle, means "very high frequency") German group founded in 1980 around the singer, composer and songwriter: Peter Hubert.
One of the most popular groups of NDW (new german wave). Closed in 1983.
The group consisted of:
* Thomas Schütze (Schlagzeug)
* Peer Gerlach (Bassist)
* Andreas Schwarz-Ruszczynski (Gitarrist)
* Peter Hubert (Sänger)
* Andreas Koch (Keyboard)

Andreas Schwarz-Ruszczynski later had a hit with "Holiday" with the group The Other Ones
Hubert later managed Sash!
