Ras Michael and the Sons of Negus is a Jamaican reggae band formed in the mid-1960s by Ras Michael (or Dadawah) , Michael Michael Henry of his real name , born in Kingston in 1943.
This group practices a reggae style called nyabinghi , based on the traditional rhythm of African percussion based on the heart rate (this rhythm also bears the same name) and strongly influenced by the Rastafarian movement.
