Stretch & Vern are London-based DJ/Producers Silvester Stretch (Stuart Collins) and Jules Vern (Julian Peake).
They had a hit in 1996 with the track "I'm Alive". The song uses a sample from the 1979 song "Boogie Wonderland" by American R&B band Earth, Wind & Fire, featuring The Emotions and 'The Vision' by Prophecy feat. Africa True. It peaked on number 6 in the UK and was also featured on Coca-Cola advert campaigns.
British electronic dance and clubbing magazine Mixmag ranked it #28 in its list of the best singles of 1996, Mixmag End of Year Lists:1996.
In 2011 Ministry of Sound re-released "I'm Alive" with new remixes from Louis La Roche, Tom Starr & Drum & Bass powerhouses Bcee & Mr Mess.
