Theia is an electro-pop singer-songwriter from New Zealand..
She released her debut single Roam in August 2016. She released her self-titled debut EP in June 2017. The EP contains the songs Roam, Champagne Supernova and Treat You.
The EP debuted at #15 in New Zealand’s Official Top 40, and at #3 in the NZ Album Chart.
Pop producer Josh Fountain produced five of the six tracks on the EP at Grammy Award-winning Joel Little's Golden Age Studios in Auckland, which is where Lorde recorded her debut album Pure Heroine. One of the tracks, Silver Second, was co-written and produced by Alex Hope in Sydney, Australia. Alex Hope has worked with the likes of Troy Sivan and Broods.
The video for Champagne Supernova features choreography by the Artistic Director of The Royal New Zealand Ballet, Francesco Ventriglia, and performances from dancers Veronika Maritati and Massimo Margaria.
In November 2017, Theia was nominated for three awards at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
She performed at the awards.
In December 2017, Theia opened for Sia at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.
On March 23, 2018, Theia will release a new song Bye Bye, co-written with Mike Elizondo, L-FRESH The Lion and Vince Harder.
Theia is signed to Warner Music New Zealand and Warner Music Australia.
