Grimm is a Dutch folkloric heavy metal band from North Brabant. The band is characterized by both 'clean vocals' and traditional 'black metal screams' and texts that often go over witches and middle ages. Grimm has released several albums, promos and EPs. The band can be seen as one of the first folk metal artists. In the Netherlands the band has had a lot of influence on the style. Since 1998 Grimm has been a familiar face in the Dutch, German and Scandinavian black metal and folk underground. The band has had different occupations. Mr. Marchosias is next to the creative and organizational strength in Grimm also the composer and guitarist of black metal band Cirith Gorgor. Towards the end of 2010, keyboard player and singer Heer Antikrist left and Lord Marchosias remained as sole composer. The current occupation of the band consists of five people. Other groups of members of Grimm are: Cirith Gorgor, Lux Haeretica, Walpurgis Night, General Mus and more. Among the former members of the band are members of the infamous group Urfaust.
