Artist BiographyAvailable in:
Christie Lamb has been described as ‘the full package’, a vibrant multi-instrumental and award winning singer songwriter. Adding to her ever-growing mantle of awards, Christie was recently voted ‘CMC Female Artist of the Year 2018’ by Australian Country Music Fans. The talented songstress has also been the recipient of a Golden Guitar for ‘CMAA New Talent of the Year 2016’ and was also voted ‘CMC New Oz Artist of the Year 2015’ again by Country Music Fans.
Christie closed out 2016 by signing with ABC Music and subsequently released her first single, ‘Flamethrower’, which was selected as ‘Country Pick’ on Foxtel’s Country Music Channel and also picked up by BBC Radio UK. ‘Flamethrower’ reached #1 on Kix Radio Network (2 weeks) and The Music Network (5 weeks). The second single ‘Bad Habit’ achieved #1 spots on radio and CMC, the following single ‘Judgement Day’ also scored ‘Country Pick’ on CMC and #1 on radio. Christie has achieved 10 top 5 singles on radio to date.
Her debut album, as well as her latest album ‘Loaded’, both reached #2 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart, narrowly missing out on the number 1 spot to Keith Urban. Christie was later invited to perform a duet with Keith at the Deni Ute Muster in front of thousands of Country Music fans.
Constantly impressing at live performances, Christie has subsequently been booked on Australia’s Premier Country Festivals and Events, including CMC Rocks, Deni Ute Muster, Gympie Music Festival, Broadbeach Country Music Festival, Urban Country Music Festival, Mud Bulls and Music Festival, Cruising Country and Sydney Country Music Festival to name a few.
Christie has been touring relentlessly, not only with her own dates, but also with Lee Kernaghan for the past 3 years, opening the show, playing piano and mandolin with Lee’s band and singing the female songs and duets with Lee from his albums.
