Peter Kopp is the founder and director of Vocal Concert Dresden and led the chamber choir to the artistically remarkable charisma for which he has long been recognized internationally.
From 1995 to summer 2017 Peter Kopp worked as choirmaster at the Dresdner Kreuzchor. In October 2017, he moved to the Protestant College of Sacred Music Halle / Saale as a lecturer in choral and orchestral conducting, where he also leads the way as rector.
As a conductor, Kopp, who first studied church music and later choral and orchestral conducting, has performed at various international festivals and in ensembles such as the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and the NDR Chor. His intensive work and a fitting presentation of the treasures of Saxon music history as well as works of the Italian Baroque have received a great deal of response both from the audience and from the international music press.
