Originally from the Paris region, The Laura Cox Band is a band that was created in 2013 by guitarists Laura Cox and Mathieu Albiac. Lost in a dull musical landscape, for them, a good big riff is better than a pop chorus . Simplicity is not necessarily a sign of ease, and it is in this spirit that they put their technique at the service of their music, to bring what is becoming increasingly rare in France: a vintage style and purified .

In 2014, they recorded their first single "Cowboys & Beer", a rocking country title that opens the doors of festivals such as Equiblues or Montereau Confluences, where they play alongside Simple Minds, Triggerfinger or Crucified Barbara.

After a line up change at the end of 2015, the group includes Laura Cox (guitar / vocals), Mathieu Albiac (guitar), François C. Delacoudre (bass), and Antonin Guérin (drums). Finally full and proud of their training, they start 2016 with plenty of projects: album, clips and concerts.

To summarize, The Laura Cox Band is the music of old alcoholic rockers played by French youngsters in great shape! Country, blues, southern rock or hard rock, that's what they like to mix according to their desires. If you still want to define this style, you could talk about Southern Hard Blues
