Natasha Sebastian was born on the 27th of September 1993. Youngest of two children, Sebastian grew up in the Montreal area with her Sri Lankan father, Marius and her Italian mother, Gemma and her older sister, Albertina.
Starting at the tender age of 4, Natasha demonstrated to those around her that she was a natural performer. Always wanting to be in the spotlight, she would perform small dance numbers and karaoke songs for her family to watch and listen. Natasha's love for music had always been apparent to all around her: whether she was listening to the latest Top 40, Hip Hop, Hard Rock or even Jazz, Natasha always had a deep love of music.
At 14, Natasha took her first singing lesson. Soon after, Natasha started song writing, mostly because through her writing she felt closer to the lyrics as she would sing them. In her early teenage years, her older sister Albertina introduced her to an edgier, hard rock music. Natasha immediately became fascinated with artists like Amy Lee, Our Lady Peace and Billy Talent.
In 2008, Natasha entered a radio song writing contest and placed as a Top 5 Finalist. Though she did not win, the taste of being an artist and having your voice heard through music was a passion which would only be fueled by an introduction to Dennis Garces, an 18 year veteran A&R/Marketing executive who had worked in Canada and the US for A&M, PolyGram, Universal, Sony and BMG Music through his career. Garces saw something special in this young talent and has been working with her for the past 18 months to hone her song writing and performance skills.
As a result of this collaboration, Natasha has started working with established Producers and Songwriters such as Dane Hartsell (new solo artist managed by Chris Smith, Nelly Furtado's management), Nicole Hughes (a songwriter formerly part of Scratching Post), Paul Niedermier, and guitarist, Drew Cribley, from Thriving Ivory (signed to Wind Up Records) and Jeff Dalziel (a producer who has worked with numerous platinum selling artists).
Natasha's debut album, Hear Lies, is now released .
