Loretta Williams was an American female Soul singer of the 1960s. A protege of Otis Redding, she signed to his record label, Jotis Records and released "Baby Cakes" and "I'm Missing You" in 1966. These were also released on Atlantic Records in the UK, indoctrinating them into the "Northern Soul" scene there.
