DENZAL SINCLAIRE (singer, pianist, composer). A graduate of McGill University in jazz, Sinclaire (born Densil Pinnock), a native of Toronto, is one of Canada's most popular jazz singers.
The singer, who lives in Vancouver, is known for his delicate phrasing and soft timbre and has been compared to Johnny Hartmann and Nat King Cole - whom he personifies early in his career in the musical "Unforgettable." "
Selected as "best male jazz singer" by the magazine "Jazz Report" for 4 consecutive years, he is nominated a few times for a Juno Award and receives the "National Jazz" Award in 2004 for "Best Album".
