Separation was a swedish hardcore band formed in 1994 in Umeå, Sweden.

The band participated with the song "When the Day Comes" on the compilation album Straight Edge as Fuck II (1995). On this recording the lineup was Lars Strömberg (guitar), José Saxlund (vocals), Alex Stattin (bass) and Jonas Lyxzén (drums). The year after they release their debut EP called 5th Song.
Just before this, Saxlund had left the band and Strömberg had taken over the vocals. Saxlund did however participate with vocals on one track.

In 1997 their first album was released, self-titled as Separation.
