Whilst still firmly rooted in his footwork heydeys, ‘Rollin EP’ hears Rashad taking a more accessible, dance-floor aware approach. The title-track ‘Rollin’ delivers slow and seductive R&B heat, the kind of material one would expect to hear from Glasgow’s Lucky Me crew... Whilst the rest of the EP hears Rashad getting to grips with his drum machine, pitting it against primitive-sounding boogie synth lines for some endearing yet darkly-tinted neo-soul.
