Push is the fifth solo album by rapper Afrob from 2014. Push is the first Afrob album in five years. The last album, Der Letzte seiner Art, was released in 2009, during which time Afrob was busy relocating from Stuttgart to Berlin. Between 2011 and 2013, he worked on Max Herre's project MTV Unplugged Kahedi Radio Show. During this time, he began work on the album. He first selected the beats. Based on these, the rapper then decided on the content of his songs. The album was released by One Shotta Records and is distributed by Soulfood. Various producers were involved in the production of the album: Rik Marvel, DJ Phono, Iamnobodi, DJ Rocky, Croup, Malik Quality and DJ Derezon. Afrob himself took on the role of executive producer. Mixing and mastering were carried out by Peter Hoff and Torsten Bader from Benztown Productions.
The album contains eight songs with guest appearances. Megaloh is represented on R.I.P. Afrob's companion Samy Deluxe contributed a verse to the song Schwerer Anschlag. Producer DJ Phono also takes part in the chanting on Zeit. Max Herre from Stuttgart contributed to the song Ruf deine Freunde an. Newcomer Der Stamm is involved in Fuss in der Tür. She-Raw contributed to Ich mag an Dir. Two artists, Telly Tellz and Asmarina Abraha, contributed to 808 Walza. Afrob's brother participated as Habesha in Lampedusa with verse and The song Immer weiter was released as the first single. The premiere took place on February 21, 2014 on 16BARS.TV. The song was only released as a download. The accompanying album also includes the a cappella version of the song and a live recording of the song Wo sind die Rapper hin? from the previous studio album Der Letzte seiner Art. The second single is called R.I.P. The Berlin rapper Megaloh took part as a feature guest. It was released on May 2, 2014. The premiere also took place on 16BARS.TV. in Tigrinese.
