Resistência, a timeless landmark of Portuguese music returns with a new album - “Ao Vivo em Lisboa”!
This new CD / DVD features in full the concert that Resistência held at Campo Pequeno, in Lisbon, on December 17, 2015, the culmination of the “Horizonte” tour.
The Resistência repertoire appears renewed by the songs recorded in the sessions of Atlântic Studio, in Paço de Arcos, in the summer of 2014, for the new album “Horizonte” published in December of that year.
On their return to the road, 21 years later, the group performed with the original 1991 line-up, except for the absence of the Portuguese-German guitarist Fredo Mergner. Composed of six guitars, bass, drums, percussion and five solo voices, Resistência intends to maintain the flame of a project that since the beginning has supported the song of Portuguese authors of electric music and concerts sung by the public community.
With the new orchestra, the group's musicians began to remember and recover the entire repertoire that constituted the concerts in 1993/94, (Resistência - Live at Armazém 22, 1993), and in a second moment, they introduced the new songs from the album “ Horizonte ”in the 2015 concerts. This is the new alignment that the public can now enjoy on the DVD made by Zé Pinheiro and also on the CD edition.
