Album Description
Available in: Country Icon
One (English for "one") is a collaboration album by German rappers Kool Savas and Azad. It was released on March 29, 2005 via the labels Sony BMG, Optik Records, Bozz Music and Subword as a basic version and limited edition. The beats for the album were created by the German producers Sti, Monroe and Martelli as well as the American producers Needlz, Sholar, L.E.S. and Kwamé. Kool Savas and Azad also contributed one and two instrumentals respectively. The bonus song was produced by the German rapper Amar.
The album cover is mostly in shades of gray. It shows Azad and Kool Savas, both wearing a jacket, chain and cap, standing in front of the corner of a house. A fist with the lettering One can be seen on the wall of the house. In the upper part of the picture is the lettering KoolSavas&Azad in gray. Only two songs on the album feature other people besides the two rappers. The chorus of the track All 4 One, for example, is sung by a children's choir. German soul and R&B singer Xavier Naidoo makes a guest appearance on Was hab ich dir angetan.
The album entered the German charts at number 5 in the 15th calendar week of 2005 and stayed in the top 100 for 26 weeks. In the 2005 German annual charts, the album reached number 64. The singles released were Monstershit, All 4 One and Guck My Man. One received a gold record in Germany in 2023 for selling more than 100,000 units.

User Album Review
Philipp Gässlein from laut.de gave the album four out of a possible five points and described it as "a monster collabo that was worth waiting for" and as the "highlight of the German rap year 2005". The styles of the two rappers complement each other well and the productions are also consistently successful. Only the songs "Alles was geht", "Banana II" and "Was hab ich dir angetan" were a little out of the ordinary.
