Benny Golson (* 25. Januar 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) ist ein US-amerikanischer Tenorsaxophonist, Komponist und Arrangeur des Hardbop. Er gehört zu den stilbildenden Vertretern des Hardbop und betont dessen lyrische Seite. Er wurde bekannt durch sein Spiel bei Art Blakeys Jazz Messengers und seine langjährige Mitwirkung im Art Farmer/Benny Golson-Jazztet. Seine Kompositionen wie Blues March, Whisper Not oder I Remember Clifford gehören zu den meistgespielten des Hardbop-Repertoires.
