Gli Orphanage erano una band death metal / gothic metal dei Paesi Bassi.
La band si è formata nel 1993 pubblicando i suoi primi demo Morph (1993) e Druid (1994). Gli Orphanage registrarono quindi il loro primo album completo Oblivion (1995) e un anno dopo pubblicarono il loro secondo album, By Time Alone. Nel 1997, la band pubblicò l'EP At The Mountains Of Madness e lavorò per tre anni nell'album Inside, che fu pubblicato nel 2000. L'ultimo album Driven fu pubblicato nel 2004. Il 18 ottobre 2005 la band annunciò lo scioglimento della stessa. Tutti e 4 gli album completi sono stati pubblicati sulle etichette Nuclear Blast e DSFA .
