This song is an omage to the 1968’s flick “The Witchfinder General” directed by Micheal Reeves and starring horror icon Vincent Prince, based on the true story of Matthiew Hopkins, a fanatic that captured and executed a large number of women for witchcraft during the English Civil War (1642-49). Many samples from the movie can be heard throught the entire song. The movie itself inspired many metal bands such as Electric Wizard, Acid Witch, Reverend Bizzarre and Witchfinder General.
