"The Yearling" is the second solo full length studio album from American musician Piney Gir, released 14 Sep 2009 on the Hotel Records label.
After releasing the electro-quirk solo album Peakahokahoo and the alt-country album Hold Yer Horses, (The Piney Gir Country Roadshow) Piney married the two styles together to create folktronic fusion album The Yearling, which combines the twang and heartbreak of country music with eclectic beats, lo-fi synths and found sounds.
