"Celebrating Jon Lord" is an album to honor Jon Lord, who passed away in July 2012. The album consists of two parts: 1) Jon Lord: The Composer and 2) Jon Lord: The Rock Legend. It's a live performance recorded at The Royal Albert Hall on April 4th 2014

"Jon Lord: The composer:" contains only songs written by Jon Lord played by The Orion Orchestra (conducted by Paul Mann) with contributions by Miller Anderson, Steve Balsamo, Margo Buchanan, Micky Moody, Jeremy Irons, and Rick Wakeman.

"Jon Lord: The Rock Legend" may be divided into pre Deep Purple and Deep Purple songs. Besides the current members of Deep Purple (Don Airey, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Steve Morse, and Ian Paice) there are contributions by Steve Balsamo, Phil Campbell, Bruce Dickinson, Glenn Hughes, Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, Neil Murray, Sandi Thom, Paul Weller, Wix Wickens, and Rick Wakeman.

The album is produced by Phil Brown and released September 28, 2014 on Edel Germany GmbH.
