Album Description
Available in:
Adventure is the second album by New York punk pioneers Television. The follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut, Marquee Moon, upon its release it fared worse than its predecessor in the United States but entered the charts at #7 in the United Kingdom.
Adventure sports a softer and more layered sound than its predecessor, Marquee Moon, with added nuances, such as keyboard textures and back-up vocals. Four of the songs, "Foxhole", "Ain't That Nothing", "Careful" and "The Dream's Dream" were older compositions from the band's live set. The complex guitar work of Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd that was lauded by critics on Marquee Moon is still apparent on Adventure. Tom Verlaine plays an ondes Martenot keyboard on the song, "The Fire".
