The album's release was preceded by the single "Ya Lo Sé" released on November 17, 2009. The album had sold 112,000 copies in the United States as of November 2011. La Gran Señora earned Rivera a nomination for the Best Ranchero Album at the 11th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.
